HOW IT WORKS
Voluntary + Participation based
This is a self-insured program comprising both a Wellness Plan and a Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan (MERP). The program is voluntary and requires employee participation. Enrolled employees must complete 400 points worth of health and wellness activities/services per plan year. 100 points averages to be 20 minutes of their time (ranging from 30 minute health webinars to 5 minute check-ins with their wellness coach). All activities/services are found within a Health Dashboard provided to enrolled employees. There is no maximum usage limit on any services or activities within the program.
Program Premium
The program premium is deducted pre-tax as part of a section 125 cafeteria plan, creating tax savings.These tax savings cover the total cost of program fees and the supplemental insurance policies the employee chooses)
Premium Reimbursement
The employee commitment to participate (completing their minimum activity requirement) allows a reimbursement of the employee premium on a post-tax basis. This reimbursement brings the employee paycheck back to whole, resulting in no reduction to their take home pay.
